Welcome to your Giving Manager Portal! Here are your first steps to configuring your giving platform account and reporting tools.
Your ministry’s giving platform account has been approved and is ready to roll! It’s time to explore your reporting tools and launch resources.
Below are the crucial first steps to setting up your account, going live, and confirming a successful launch!
1. Configure your primary online giving link
You’re only a few steps away from having your online giving portal live and ready to receive gifts!
2. Create Fund Designations

Click the gear icon in the top right corner of your dashboard

Choose the Fund Management card

Select the +Add Fund button
-
Add a Fund Name
-
Add a Fund Keyword (must be one word, no spaces)
Click Save! (All other fields are not required, but can be used if helpful.)

3. Check your Give Now Form to verify the funds you want visible to donors are checked.

Click Forms in the left navigation bar

Choose the Give Now Form

Click the gear next to My Donation
-
Select Fund Items from the field properties

Check or uncheck boxes of funds you want displaying Change the order of funds by clicking on the double dotted lines and dragging them to your preferred order

Click OK

Click Save Changes (bottom right corner)

Choose Publish
4. Let your Givers help cover processing fees

Click Forms in the left navigation bar
-
Choose the Give Now Form
-
Click Form Properties at the bottom of the screen

Click the Payment tab
-
Check the box next to Enable Convenience Fee
-
Choose a Percentage or Flat Dollar amount.

Choose the account to which the Convenience Fee should be attributed.

Click OK
-
Click Save Changes (bottom right corner)

Choose Publish
4. Consider embedding your Giving Form on your website

Click Forms in the left navigation bar
-
Choose the Give Now Form
-
Click Form Properties at the bottom of the screen

On the General Info Tab scroll down and click Copy Embed Code button

Provide this code to your website admin
5. Customize email templates & gift confirmations

Click the gear icon in the right corner of your dashboard
-
Choose the Email Template card and Form Emails
-
Customize messages to your givers for each of the templates in the drop-down menu.
6. Choose your text-giving number
Within minutes, you’ll activate text giving, choose your number, and go live!
7. Complete ChMS Integration or chose your Data Export Profile

8. Invite your team! Add additional managers.
Add additional administrators (and manage their permissions!) to help track and promote your giving platform at your church or organization
9. Start your first project in MinistryOne

10. Update website and communication materials!
Optimize your website and communications (slide deck, bulletin, emails, etc.) to increase generosity!
Keep the momentum going-- make it a goal to launch within your first 30 days! Plan to set aside a few minutes on a Sunday morning for a live announcement and walkthrough.
