Overview
This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to integrate your Church Management System (ChMS) with your Giving account and map your funds for seamless syncing. It also explains how to edit or delete existing fund mappings.
Why Integration Matters
Integrating your Giving system with your ChMS saves time, reduces manual data entry, and ensures accurate financial reporting by importing donations directly into your ChMS. Fund mapping ensures donations are routed to the correct categories in your ChMS.
Mapping Funds
You must have funds created in both your Giving platform and your ChMS before mapping. If you haven’t created them yet, complete that step first.
- From the Integrations page, locate your ChMS and open the integration settings.
- In the Add New Fund Mappings section:
- Select the Giving System Fund from the dropdown.
- Select the corresponding ChMS Fund from your ChMS System dropdown.
- 💡 If you recently added a new ChMS fund but don’t see it, click Refresh [Your ChMS] Fund List.
- Select a Location (if applicable).
- Set as Default Fund if this is your fallback mapping.
- Click Add New Fund Mapping.
Note: When a default mapping is set, any unmapped funds will be routed to the default. Without a default mapping, unmapped funds will not be submitted.
Editing or Deleting Fund Mappings
If you need to change where a mapped fund is routed:

Open Integration Settings
- Click the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Click the Settings tile, then select Integrations.
- The default page is the Sync Report tab.
- Click the Overview tab to view your fund mapping list.
- Click the Overview tab to view your fund mapping list.
- Find the fund mapping you want to update.
- Click Edit to change the mapped ChMS Fund, Location, or Default Fund setting.
- Click Edit to change the mapped ChMS Fund, Location, or Default Fund setting.
- In the Edit Fund Mappings pop-up window, make your changes, then click Save Fund Mapping.
- To remove a mapping entirely, click Delete.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear — click Yes to proceed.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear — click Yes to proceed.
Notes:
- Changes take effect immediately for future transactions only.
- Historical transactions will not be re-routed.
- Contact Support to confirm if changes sync in real time for your ChMS.
⚠️ The impact on historical records may vary — check with Support before deleting.
New Donor Mapping
When gifts are pushed to your ChMS, they attempt to match to existing donors.
- Enable New Donor Creation to automatically create a donor profile in your ChMS if no match is found.
- If disabled, unmatched gifts will appear in your Sync Report, where you can manually match the donor.
Offline Gifts
Enable this option to display cash and check gifts from your ChMS in the donor’s giving history within your Giving platform.
Note: This option is only available for Ministry Brands ChMS systems.
Disabling Your Integration
From the integration screen, you can:
- Click Disable Integration to stop syncing.
- Click Clear Settings to remove all configuration and start fresh.

Q: If I edit a mapping, will it update past donations?
A: No. Mapping changes apply to future transactions only.
Q: What happens if I delete a mapping?
A: Support can confirm the exact impact, but typically deleting a mapping stops future donations from being routed there.
