How to Give Anonymously Online

Learn how to make an anonymous donation using the online giving form, what to expect during the process, and how to manage your anonymous gifts.

Important: Anonymous giving has to be enabled by your church or organization. If you do not see the option to give anonymously on the giving form, it is not available for you.

 

At a Glance

  • Anonymous gifts will not appear on your year-end tax statement.

Steps

  1. Go to the giving form on your ministry's website and enter your donation amount.

  2. Select the checkbox labeled I want to give anonymously.

  3. A pop-up titled Giving Anonymously will appear. You'll be informed that:

    • Your gift won't show on year-end tax statements.
    • Your information won't be shared with the institution.
    • Ministry Brands retains your info in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

    Check the box to confirm your understanding, then click Continue Anonymously.

  4. Fill out the donation form by selecting your:

    • Fund (e.g., Tithes and Offerings, Missions)
    • Frequency (one-time or recurring)
    • Payment Method (Card, ACH, PayPal, Google Pay, or Venmo)

    Your organization may allow you to cover the administrative fee. If so, you can check the box near the bottom. A small percentage or a flat amount will be added to your donation. This helps ensure the full amount goes to the ministry.

  5. Click Submit. You'll see a confirmation page with a prompt to view your receipt.

Important: You will not receive an email receipt for anonymous gifts. Print or save the confirmation screen for your records.

 

Important Notes

  • Even though you're giving anonymously, your donation will still be securely processed and displayed in your donor account.
  • You can view your anonymous donations in your giving history, even though they won't be attributed to your name on the ministry side.
  • Be sure to print your receipt on the confirmation screen, especially if you'd like a personal record or need a ministry administrator to identify the gift.

Troubleshooting

  • Don't see the anonymous option? Confirm that the administrator has enabled anonymous donations on this giving form.
  • Gift not showing in history? Anonymous gifts appear in your account but may not be visible on tax documents or statements — check the History tab instead.

FAQ

Will I receive a tax statement for my anonymous gifts?

No. Because the ministry cannot see your identity, these gifts are not included on year-end tax statements.

Can I schedule recurring anonymous gifts?

Yes! Set up a recurring gift and manage it at any time from the Scheduled tab in your donor account. You must be Signed In to see the Scheduled tab.

How will I know if my anonymous gift went through?

You'll see a confirmation screen after submitting. You can also view the gift under your History tab, where it will be marked as an anonymous gift.

Is my information truly private?

Yes. Your identity is not shared with the organization, but your payment information is securely stored with Ministry Brands to process and manage your donation.
