How to Use Google Pay for Donations or Payments

Objective: This article provides a brief guide explaining how donors can use Google Pay for donations or payments. By following these steps, you can make giving easy, secure, and flexible using your digital wallet.

 

💡 Why Use Google Pay?

As a donor, you want giving to be easy, secure, and flexible. Google Pay makes this possible by allowing you to use a digital wallet instead of manually entering card details each time you give. Simply log in with your Google account to access your stored payment methods and make your donation or payment in seconds.

Steps for Donors to Use Google Pay

If your organization has enabled Google Pay, it will appear as a payment option alongside Credit Card, Debit Card, and Bank Account on the giving or registration form.

 

How to Give Using Google Pay

  1. Select Google Pay as Your Payment Method:
    • On the donation form, select Google Pay.
  2. Enter Your Billing Email Address:
    • Note: The billing email address should match the one you’ve used for your giving account, if applicable.
  3. Click the “GPay” Button:
    • A pop-up window will appear with your saved cards.
  4. Choose the Card You’d Like to Use:
    • Select the card you’d like to use for this donation.
  5. Click “Continue” to Finalize Your Gift:
    • Complete the donation process.

 

What to Know as a Donor

  • If you haven’t added payment methods to your Google Pay account, the pop-up will appear blank.
  • Want to use a different payment method? Simply close the Google Pay pop-up and select another option on the form.
