Announcing the All New Kiosk 3.0!

Kiosk 3.0 replaces the old Kiosk app with a self-service station that runs on an iPad. Your community can give, register for an event, or submit a form without staff help. Set it up once, lock it, and place it in a lobby, welcome area, or event entrance. Here's what Kiosk 3.0 offers and what your ministry needs to get started.

What Is Kiosk 3.0?

Kiosk 3.0 is an iPad app that connects to your Giving account and accepts credit card payments through an Ingenico Moby 5500 Bluetooth card reader. After a quick setup, the Kiosk can operate without supervision.

To set up a Kiosk, you need:

  • An iPad with the Kiosk 3.0 by Ministry Brands app installed
  • An Ingenico Moby 5500 card reader
  • Administrative access to your ministry's Giving account for initial set up
  • A stand that holds both the iPad and the card reader
  • A reliable Wi-Fi or cellular connection at the Kiosk location

Three Modes on One Device

Kiosk modes control what your community can do at the station. Authorized users can switch modes at any time by tapping the Lock icon and entering a PIN.

Give Now

Donors choose a fund, enter an amount, and pay using the card reader. Set up a Location, one or more Funds, and an optional Administrative Fee that allows donors to cover processing costs as a percentage or a flat fee.

Give Now & Events

Users can choose to donate or register for an event. They can search for events by name or date, or browse the full list.

Dedicated Form

The Kiosk displays one pre-selected form and nothing else. Any form type works, including giving, event registration, and contact forms. Because the form manages its own fund and fee settings, this mode takes the least configuration.

Access for Staff and Volunteers

Kiosk 3.0 separates device access from account access, so the people who run your Kiosk do not need full Giving administrator accounts. A Giving administrator

Lock the Kiosk

After the app is set up, donors will be unable to close the app or access app settings.

Your Ministry's Branding on Screen

Upload your church or organization's logo to display in the app.

Receipts and Automatic Donor Matching

After making a payment, the donor can enter their name, email address, and optionally, their phone number to link their donation or payment to their donor profile. A new record is created if no matching record exists.

Kiosk Reporting in Giving

Kiosk transactions flow into your existing Giving reports. Each payment records the fund the donor selected.

What's Changing From Legacy Kiosk

  • Kiosk 3.0 runs on a current iPad with a Bluetooth card reader rather than legacy hardware.
  • Setup, mode switching, and ongoing maintenance take fewer steps.
  • The donor experience stays consistent across giving, events, and forms.
