StewardPay is a mobile point-of-sale app for accepting card and mobile wallet payments in person. Use it for donations, merchandise sales, and event payments—keeping staff engaged with your community during transactions.
StewardPay is available to all Giving customers. Simply download the app and follow the steps to get started. You will be charged your normal credit card processing fees.
What You'll Need
- An NFC-enabled iPhone. iPhone 11s and newer have the required NFC hardware, but the newer models are recommended to ensure they can run the latest versions of iOS. Android devices are not supported.
- Administrative access to your ministry's Giving account, or an administrator who can set up the Giving side for you.
- An internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular) on the iPhone.
Important: StewardPay only accepts tap payments (contactless cards and mobile wallets). Swipe and insert (chip) are not supported. Beyond an iPhone, no external hardware is required. StewardPay uses the phone's built-in NFC to accept tap payments.
Get Started in Five Steps
-
Download and open the StewardPay app on your iPhone from the Apple App Store.
- Register the device with your Giving account. This links the phone to your ministry so transactions are recorded correctly. See Registering an iPhone for details.
- Sign in using your six-digit PIN. If you haven't received a PIN, ask your administrator to create your user in Giving first. See Managing StewardPay Users and PIN Access.
- Configure your Location and Fund. StewardPay uses a single active fund per session. See Configuring Location, Fund, and Administrative Fee for StewardPay.
- Start your first transaction. See Starting a New Sale and Sending a Receipt in StewardPay.
