Kiosk Stand Requirements

Having a stand that securely holds your iPad model and the Ingenico Moby/5500 payment terminal is essential to a successful Kiosk rollout. Review these requirements before purchasing a stand.

Can I purchase a stand from Ministry Brands?

Ministry Brands does not sell, provide, or ship a physical stand for the iPad and payment terminal
used at your giving station. Sourcing and purchasing the stand is the responsibility of your organization.

You are free to purchase a stand from any manufacturer or retailer you prefer, provided the stand
meets the requirements outlined in this guide.

Stand Requirements

iPad

The stand must securely hold the iPad model you are using. iPads come in a number of dimensions, so be sure the stand you purchase is compatible with your iPad.

Payment Terminal

The stand must securely hold the Ingenico Moby/5500 payment terminal. Its specifications are below:

AttributeSpecification
DeviceIngenico Moby/5500 mobile payment terminal
Dimensions (L x W x H) 3.03" x 2.13" x 0.58" (77 mm x 54 mm x 14 mm)
WeightLess than 2.47 oz (< 70 g)
Charging / Data PortUSB-C
Wireless Connectivity Bluetooth LE 4.2 (used to pair with the iPad)
PowerThe terminal has a small internal rechargeable battery, but it is not designed to power the terminal through a full day of
consistent use. Keep the terminal plugged into USB-C power at all times rather than relying on the battery.

The Ingenico Moby/5500 payment terminal has slots on one side to accommodate swiping and inserting a credit card. Please ensure the stand you purchase will accommodate these, as well as the charging cable.

Power and Cableing

The iPad and payment terminal should have continual power. Ensure your stand accommodates cables running to the power ports on both the iPad and the payment terminal. Many stands are designed so that USB charging cables can run through the base. This means you may need to purchase long USB cables (at least 10 feet). You will also want a charging block that can charge both devices.

Important: One end of each cable should be L-shaped to ensure it fits in the Kiosk enclosure.

The payment terminal connects wirelessly via Bluetooth, so there is no physical connection between the terminal and the iPad.

Stand Vendor Reference

We have prior experience with the following two BOSSTAB items, ordered together as a set. This is shared for reference only. Ministry Brands has no affiliation with BOSSTAB, and churches are welcome to use any vendor that meets the requirements above.

BOSSTAB Elite Evo Floor Stand

A lockable, freestanding iPad floor kiosk. Uses a 4-point lock with barrel key and a Quick Release Latch for staff access, internal cable management (route through the floor pole or a rear cutout), and a powder-coated metal base with rubber feet for stability. Confirm the iPad holder insert matches your specific iPad model when ordering. BOSSTAB sells model-specific inserts for this stand.

BOSSTAB Elite Card Reader Bracket

An add-on bracket that attaches to the top, bottom, or side of the Elite Evo (and other Elite-line stands) to mount a card reader, with a cutout for routing its charging cable. BOSSTAB's published options are currently listed by name for Adyen and Square readers, not the Ingenico Moby/5500. Confirm directly with BOSSTAB that the bracket securely fits the Moby/5500's dimensions before ordering.
