Faith Direct Pre-Upgrade Client Checklist

🎉 Congratulations — you have your upgrade date!

Here’s what that means and how you can prepare so the transition is smooth for both you and your donors.

Some articles may mention other contacts, but your Managed Giving team (your trusty Faith Direct Client Relations Managers) is here for you!

 

  1. Learn About the New Platform

  2. Prepare Donor Communications

    • Visit the Information Center → Click on Communications → Download “Donor Communication Cadence: Faith Direct to ParishSOFT Giving Upgrade”
    • Weekly Giving: If your Donors selected weekly giving, then once the upgrade is complete, those gifts will now be deducted each week instead of in one monthly batch.

      This guide contains everything you’ll need to share with your donors.
       
    • Download the ParishSOFT logo (found in this article) and include it in your donor communication.
  3. Review Your Events and Templates

    • In Faith Direct, make sure any ACTIVE events and custom templates you want to keep are set to PUBLISHED before your upgrade date.
    • âś… Published events will come over to the new platform.
    • ❌ Unpublished, expired, or archived events will not transfer and cannot be brought over later.
  4. Understand Deposits, Fees, and Reporting

    Includes a reporting section explaining the differences between Faith Direct and ParishSOFT Giving reporting.

  5. Train Your Team

  6. Plan for Family Suite Integration (if applicable)

    Note: Gifts will automatically flow into Family Suite once integrated, but setup is not automatic—you’ll need to complete the steps after the upgrade.

  7. If You Don’t Use Family Suite

    • Explore other data export options—similar to Faith Direct, including the ability to create your own custom export.
