Why the Change?

Yes, the migration is happening—and for good reason. While Faith Direct served us well, technological advancements in the giving space (like expanded payment types and flexible funding options) are now available through ParishSOFT Giving.

New benefits include:

  • Support for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal
  • Flexible funding dates (not limited to the 4th or 15th)
  • Recurring gifts for event registrations
  • Enhanced customization and control for forms and statements

  1. What Happens to Our Donors?

    • Donors do not need to re-create accounts.
      • We’re doing all the heavy lifting:
        • All active donor profiles, payment methods, giving schedules, and custom templates will transfer over securely
        • Recurring gifts will not be interrupted
        • All appeals, published events, and giving options will move with you
        • 🔐 Donor data is encrypted and transferred securely—no one gets left behind.
  2. Will Donors Be Notified?

    • Yes—but you’ll see the communication first.
      • We’re working with our marketing team to prepare:
        • Bulletin text
        • Mass/pulpit announcements
        • Web banners
        • Emails to donors
        • Donors are already used to communication from Faith Direct, and we’ll be transparent and consistent throughout the transition.
  3. When Is This Happening?

    • Migration Begins: August
    • Target Completion: End of October
    • Our goal is to have you fully transitioned before the busy Christmas giving season
  4. Will Our Fees Change?

    • No, your monthly program fees (ie.. processing and transaction fees) will stay exactly the same. No hidden costs. No surprises.
  5. Will Our Client Relations Manager Stay the Same?

    • Yes! Your designated Client Relations Manager will continue supporting you before, during, and after the migration.
      • Our Donor Support team also remains available for donor-specific questions.
  6. How Do We Get Started?

    • If you received an email titled Action Required: Information Verification, you’re already on your way!
      1. Click the link in the email to access the ParishSOFT Giving platform
      2. Bookmark the page for future use
      3. Log in with your Faith Direct admin email and password
        • Trouble logging in? Contact your Client Relations Manager
  7. What Will Look and Feel Different?

    • Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll see once logged into ParishSOFT Giving:

        • Year-to-date giving volume
        • New donor sign-ups
        • Average transaction size
        • Active recurring gifts
        • Visual giving trends (monthly and annual graphs)

        • Recurring Gifts
        • Transactions (customizable, filterable)
        • Deposits & Fee Billing Details

        • View and manage donor records
        • Identify and merge duplicates
        • See giving history and next scheduled gifts
      4. 💰 Fund Management
        • Replaces the “Appeals” tab in Faith Direct
        • Manage recurring and seasonal funds
        • Add/edit fund details, recurrence options, and visibility
      5. 📝 Forms
        • All giving and event registration forms in one place
        • Set fund visibility, tax-deductibility, and donor communication
        • Support for scheduling future one-time gifts

  9. Is There an App?

    • Yes! The MinistryOne App is replacing the discontinued Faith Direct app.
      • Donors can search for your parish on Google Play or Apple’s App Store
      • All giving and event options are available through the app
      • You can even customize the homepage of your parish’s app experience
  10. What’s New with Text Giving?

    • You can create custom keywords for forms (e.g., “VBS”)
    • Donors text the keyword to your text-giving number and get an instant form link
    • Stay tuned for communication about how your number will carry over
