Understanding Monthly Fees in the ParishSOFT Giving Platform

Objective

This article explains how monthly fees are applied in the ParishSOFT Giving platform compared to the previous Faith Direct process. By reading this, you’ll understand how to view your invoices, set up auto-pay, and ensure timely payments for your Managed Giving services.

Why the Change?

Previously, Faith Direct deducted your monthly fee from your fourth disbursement each month because disbursements were based on net dollars. Now that ParishSOFT Giving provides gross donation amounts, your fees—both processing and monthly—appear as separate line items. This gives you greater transparency into your total donations and associated fees.

How to View Your Monthly Fee Invoice

  1. Log into your ParishSOFT Giving dashboard
  2. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings
  3. Select the “Invoice” tile
  4. From there, locate the desired invoice by date and click View Invoice

 

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number
  • Payment status (paid or unpaid)
  • Invoice date (always the 1st of the month)
  • Description (e.g., Managed Giving Monthly Fee)
  • Dollar amount

Payment Options

You have two ways to pay your monthly fee:

🟢 Auto-Pay (Recommended)

  • Add a parish credit card or bank account under Billing Settings
  • Your invoice will be automatically paid on the 1st of each month
  • No manual action required

🔴 Manual Payment

  • You must log in each month to pay your invoice
  • There are no email reminders, so it’s up to you to stay on schedule

💡 Some clients prefer auto-pay for convenience; others opt for manual control. The choice is yours!

 

What’s the Difference Between Faith Direct and Managed Giving Fees?

There’s no difference in service—just a change in platform.

Managed Giving is the name for Faith Direct within the ParishSOFT Giving platform

• The monthly fee remains the same

• You’ll continue receiving the same services you’ve come to expect
