Resetting a Donor's Password
Objective
This guide explains how to assist donors who have forgotten their password and need help accessing their donor account.
đź’ˇ Why Reset a Donor's Password?
Helping donors reset their password ensures they can access their account and continue their giving activities without interruption. Providing clear instructions empowers them to manage their account independently.
How to Reset a Donor's Password
- Navigate to your Left Navigation menu.
- Click Donors (People, Individuals, Users, Members).
- Search for the donor needing their password reset.
- Click the three-dot ellipses to the far right of that line to open the Donor Details.
- Once in the donor's profile, click the three-dot ellipses in the top right corner, and click Reset Donor Password.
- You'll see a confirmation pop-up on the bottom right corner of the screen telling you that a password reset email was sent to [first name, last name].
- Instruct the donor to check their email for further instructions.
Important Notes
- Confirmation:Â A password reset email will be sent to the donor's email address.
- Instructions: Ensure the donor checks their email (if not found, please check Spam or Junk inbox) for further instructions on resetting their password.
